上午行程摘要：尤努斯博士會談、🚐參訪格萊珉卡利多尼雅護理學院
Schedule: Meet with Professor Muhammad Yunus, Visit Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing

🎙這趟社會企業實習，同學們都對能見到尤努斯博士非常期待，也希望能跟他有所交流，今天終於能夠親眼一睹本人風采。博士助人的中心理念非常清楚-幫助所有需要受助的人，對所有人都是平等的，不管受助者是好或壞都會幫助。不排除任何人就是希望可以盡量幫助更多的人，博士希望能將尤努斯中心散佈到世界各地，讓有需要的人都可以受到協助。
During this social business trip, all of the students not only looked forward to seeing Yunus Professor but also interacting with him. Professor Yunus’s idea is helping whoever is in need and treats everyone equally. Helping is not exclusive to any specific person. Professor Yunus hopes that Yunus Centre could be spread all over the world, helping people in need unconditionally.
🤩透過微型借貸，可以讓受助者學習到如何自助，這往往是能夠改變個人地位的契因，舉例來說，窮困人家可能會因為身世，而陷入階級複製的輪迴當中，但擁有借貸的金錢，他們可以翻轉原本的生活，家中孩童可以有受教育的機會，生活品質也會有所改善，這就是讓格萊珉銀行可以發揮影響力的地方。
With micro-finance, they teach borrowers how to help themselves. Instead of giving them the fish, they give them the fishing rod. For instance, the underprivileged may fall into the vicious cycle on account of the social status. However, by having enough money, they can change their life. Besides, the kids could have the chance to go to school. Above all, life quality could be greatly improved. This is the power of Grameen Bank.
💪尤努斯博士非常鼓勵我們不要只是遵循書本所說的，因為現實生活中常常跟理論有落差，到社會企業的現場實際參訪，是非常重要且具有意義的事情，像是這次來孟加拉實習，都是能讓自己更貼近實務面的機會。
Professor Yunus encouraged us not just follow theories. For in real life, things are not often going so well like theories. Thus, visiting social business companies in person is very meaningful to us.
博士著手於社會企業的初衷一直就不是想營利，他希望能夠創造助人的影響力。他感興趣的事是在了解受助者所面臨的問題後，去找到解方。如果大家都不做任何事情，問題就會一直存在在那裏，這就是社會企業所希望達成的事情。
Professor Yunus’ principle of social business is not to think about profit. He hopes to create “helping power”. He draws the blueprint of a peaceful society. If everyone tends to do nothing, the question would remain there. This is definitely not what social business hopes.
❤最後有同學詢問博士在創建社會企業時曾有想放棄的念頭嗎？博士答道，因為社會企業不是以營利為導向，所以有時候在資金調度方面多少會有一些較為困難的情形出現，但是他始終秉持著不要放棄希望，還是要回到想解決問題的初衷，而且幫助人是非常快樂的事情，透過助人最後那份開心的感覺也回饋到自己身上。
At last, one student asked Professor Yunus whether he thought about giving up his dream of social business. He answered that the main goal of social business is not to make a profit, so it’s quite common to face some difficulties. Nonetheless, he held faith in social business. Helping others generates lots of happiness, which makes him and also everyone happier.

🚐接近中午時我們來到格萊珉卡利多尼雅護理學院(Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing)參訪，首先先由他們的校長Niru Shamsun Nahar為我們做介紹-成立、學生組成以及建校以來的事蹟。
We visited Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing at noon. Niru Shamsun Nahar, the principal of Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing, introduced the establishment, the composition of the students, and the deeds.
🏫格萊珉卡利多尼雅護理學院是孟加拉首座私立護理學院，隸屬於「孟加拉護理與助產理事會」。格萊珉卡利多尼雅護理學院是個相當年輕的護理學院，成立於2010年，當時只有38位學生，但在國際化下擴張迅速，目前已有50個不同課程，且已有530人畢業於這間學院。在2018年，他們在沙阿賈拉勒國際機場附近新建了一間學院，而我們參訪的是在尤努斯中心旁兩層樓的舊學院。
Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing is the first private nursing college in Bangladesh and is affiliated to Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council. Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing is a very young college. When it was founded in 2010, they had only 38 students at the time, but they have expanded rapidly internationally and now have 50 different courses and more than 530 graduates from the school. In 2018, they built a new campus near Shahjalal International Airport. The campus we visited today is the one just next to Yunus center.
📍他們的目標主要有二：
1.在孟加拉建立國際認可的護理助產機構，以提供高品質的護理教育。
2.透過給予孟加拉偏鄉的年輕人教育機會，以打破早婚、懷孕、貧窮的循環。
Their two main goals are:
1. Establish internationally recognized nursing and midwifery institutions in Bangladesh to provide high-quality nursing education.
2. To break the cycle of early marriage, pregnancy, and poverty by providing educational opportunities to rural youth in Bangladesh.
👩🎓👨🎓格萊珉卡利多尼雅護理學院的男女比例其實蠻懸殊的，他們有規定男性學生招收比例不得高於10%。舉例來說，他們四年制的學生中共有241人，女性就佔了205人，男性只有36人。
Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing has very few male students. They have a rule that no more than 10% of male students could be enrolled. Among the 241 students enrolled in their four-year program, for example, 205 students are female and only 36 students are male.
他們在成立後，即和英國的格拉斯哥卡利多尼雅大學(Glasgow Caledonian University)有密切聯絡，並成為合作夥伴，提供格萊珉卡利多尼雅護理學院獎學金機制，甚至提供學生前往英國就讀大學的機會。目前已有6位四年制學生透過獎學金在孟加拉格萊珉卡利多尼雅護理學院完成學業，4位兩年制的學生獲得全額獎學金補助在英國葛萊斯高卡利多尼雅大學順利畢業。
Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing has a close partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University in the UK upon its establishment. Glasgow Caledonian University offers scholarship to the students of Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing, and even provides them the opportunities going to the UK to study. So far six four-year-program students finished the degree in Bangladesh with scholarship and four two-year-program students finished the degree in the UK with full scholarship sponsorship.
🏆格萊珉卡利多尼雅護理學院在2014年獲得聯合利華國際獎（Unilever International Award），被認可為具有正面影響力的組織。
Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing won Unilever International Award in 2014 and was recognized as an organization with a positive impact.
